KEEPING THE ADDAMS LEGACY ALIVE: KEVIN MISEROCCHI

  • Rialto Center for Creativity 250 East Broad Street Westfield, NJ, 07090 United States (map)

To kick off the annual AddamsFest art exhibit, Kevin Miserocchi of the Tee & Charles Addams Foundation joined us for a pop-up Spotlight. Miserocchi leads the foundation that preserves the work of Charles Addams, the iconic Westfield-raised cartoonist whose creations include the Addams Family.

This year’s exhibit, AddamsFest Americana, celebrates America250 by exploring the American experience through an Addams-inspired lens, featuring original Charles Addams works on loan from the Tee & Charles Addams Foundation alongside new pieces by local artists.

Miserocchi co-founded the foundation in 1999 with Addams's widow, Marilyn "Tee" Miller Addams, and has directed it since her death in 2002. The foundation manages Addams's artistic estate and archives, curates exhibitions of his work, and publishes books on his characters and career.

The AddamsFest Americana Art Exhibit is open weekends at the Rialto through October 25.
